Name

configure-isds — creates or edits a configuration based on the template isds.cml

Synopsis

configure-isds

Description

Command configure-isds is an interactive tool for creating and modifying configuration of a specific Kernun product — Kernun Bezpecna schranka (Secure Box). It manages a configuration based on the template file /usr/local/kernun/conf/samples/cml/isds.cml. The configuration file based on this template may be modified manually (in Kernun GUI, in the command line interface, or by a text editor), but if the configuration should remain manageable by configure-isds, some restrictions must be obeyed. The identification “DO NOT REMOVE” line must not be changed. The set of variable definitions denoted as “Configurable parameters” must be retained and their format must not be changed, because they are read and written by configure-isds.

If a newly installed Kernun Bezpecna schranka with the proper license file is booted for the first time, it creates a special initial configuration suitable for further management by configure-isds.

In addition to editing configuration, this command provides also additional management tasks: checking media state of network interfaces, generating X.509 and displaying certificates for HTTPS, changing administrator's password, generating SSH keys for remote administrator's access, and management of users' authentication data.
